Using the Orchard

These terms govern your use of The Astral Orchard website, operated by the Astral Orchard team. By creating an account or using member features, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not register or use those features. Our guides are being prepared and will be available without an account when published.

The Orchard is an independent community. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Neopets. Your Neopets account is governed separately by Neopets’ own rules. You must be legally able to agree to these terms; where parental or guardian permission is required, obtain it before registering.

Your member account

Public registration is closed during beta. You need a valid invitation from an existing member. Each member may create up to 10 single-use invitations in total; used and revoked codes count towards that limit. Share codes privately with people you trust. Unused codes may be revoked by their creator and do not expire automatically.

Provide an email address you control and choose a display name that does not impersonate another person. Keep your login details private and use a password different from your Neopets password. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account.

Do not access another member’s account, bypass access controls, exploit bugs, automate abusive requests or create accounts to evade participation limits. We may restrict accounts or remove content to investigate misuse, protect members or maintain the site.

Linking a Neopets account

Only nominate a Neopets username that belongs to you. We never ask for your Neopets password. Confirm your username with the code sent through Neomail before collecting member rewards.

Keep your linked username accurate. Create junk trades on that account for prize collection and check the incoming offer before accepting it.

Spin games and prizes

Our daily, weekly and monthly games award Neopets items. The wheels select categories, then reveal the specific items. No payment is required to play. Practice spins are for enjoyment and do not award transferable prizes. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real money.

The daily game allows one scheduled turn per UTC day and three re-spins per UTC calendar month. A re-spin replaces the previous daily result, including when it reveals the same item. The weekly game opens once each Sunday in UTC; the monthly game opens once on the final UTC calendar day of the month. Practice turns do not consume those scheduled turns.

Real results are stored on our server and reserve available prize stock. An unavailable prize pool does not use your turn. Practice and earlier browser-only discoveries are not transferable. Estimated NP values can change and are not guaranteed resale prices. You can select up to 15 available items held by one prize account for a Trading Post offer. An offer remains pending until accepted on Neopets; we may not be able to confirm acceptance automatically.

Creative competitions

Submit only writing you created or have permission to use, and follow each challenge’s length limits and content brief. Do not include abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, unlawful or private third-party material. One saved entry per account per challenge may be edited while entries remain open.

You retain ownership of your original writing. You give the Orchard permission to store and display it privately to your account so the entry feature can work. Entries are reviewed for the challenge you enter. Public publication requires your permission or the publication terms of the competition you accept.

Follow each competition’s entry instructions, eligibility requirements and judging criteria. The listed prizes apply to that challenge. Keep your linked Neopets account up to date so any winning prize can reach you.

Guides, artwork and third-party links

Guides are independent fan information. Game mechanics, prices and availability change, and we cannot promise that every detail remains current. Check the instructions on Neopets before making decisions involving valuable items or currency.

Neopets names, characters and official item images belong to their respective rights holders. Our site also uses original copy, interface design and bespoke fan illustrations. Do not claim another creator’s work as your own. These terms do not grant rights we do not hold or restrict uses permitted by applicable law.

External links lead to websites we do not operate. Their content, security, transactions and policies are their responsibility. We do not endorse an external transaction simply by linking to an information page.

Availability and responsibility

We may update features, correct errors, interrupt service for maintenance or remove a feature. Keep a separate copy of writing you want to preserve. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or permanent availability of saved results.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided without a promise that it will meet every requirement or be free from errors. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

Questions and changes

Our Neopets guild is coming soon and its council is not yet available as a contact route. A direct contact for account issues, content concerns and questions about these terms has not yet been published. We will add those details here when available. Never post your password or a confirmation code publicly.

We may revise these terms as the site develops. The effective date above identifies this version. Material changes affecting member participation will be explained before they take effect. Information about how we handle your personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
